The game starts with Henry Stein receiving a letter of invitation requiring him to return to his old job of making animations.

To move from one level to another, players have complete some tasks or challenges. Some of the tasks include making combats, finishing puzzles, and listening to audio. In Bendy and the Ink, Machine players have very limited physical activities including running and jumping only. You should collect the cans as a player so that when Henry gets hurt or ill, he can be healed. The combat in this game requires one to use local weapons like an axe, pipe, plunger, wrench, or scythe. As a player make sure you know how to use these well if you want to win every combat.

On other occasions, there are some advanced weapons including Tommy guns or bacon soup cans which all work as lethal weapons to destroy robust and stubborn enemies. When Henry is sick or has been injured, he can enter the Little miracle stations to heal and retreat so that he gets strength for the huge enemies. Huge enemies require advanced weapons so if you use your weapons carelessly, you might end up getting crushed and die. Audio logs are there to help you know more about the game’s story and the fate of every employee of the studio.

It’s a beautifully themed game with excellent graphics and a storyline to make players enjoy every moment. The game has a very nice plot has Henry gets back to his studio and fights all these challenges to the extent that he is locked up in prison. In the last chapter called the last reel, new characters like Allison Angel and Tom emerge. Henry manages to win their trust while in prison and they give him a seeing tool that can be used to see hidden messages and secrets. Henry is finally able to escape from prison.
